One requirement. A complete component list..
Bring your quantities, specifications and purchasing constraints together. A clear component enquiry makes it easier to discuss a whole requirement rather than disconnected individual items.
From a single line to a bill of materials
Use the enquiry list for catalogue items or send the part numbers and quantities from your own specification. Separate essential requirements from preferences, and mark any lines where alternatives could be considered.
Information that improves a quotation
- Manufacturer and exact part number, where specified
- Quantity required for each line
- New build, replacement, resale or upgrade use
- Capacity, interface, form factor and compatibility constraints
- Required delivery destination and target date
- Whether partial quantities or split deliveries are acceptable
Comparing like for like
Retail and OEM packaging, board partner variants, memory organisation, regional specifications and included accessories can differ. State which details matter to your requirement.
For repeat purchases, include the reference from any previous quotation and identify any changes. A previous quotation does not guarantee that a price, specification or availability position remains current.
Pricing and availability
Prices and supply details are confirmed in a written quotation. A catalogue listing is an invitation to enquire and does not indicate that an item is held in stock. Minimum quantities, quote validity, VAT and delivery charges are confirmed where applicable.
Before an order is agreed
Check the quoted part numbers, quantities, specifications, delivery details and payment terms against your requirement. Let us know about any discrepancy before accepting a quotation or issuing a purchase order.
